Lewis Chaplin (b. 1992) is a British book-maker and graphic designer based in Marseille, France. In 2014, he co-founded Loose Jointsloosejoints.biz, an award-winning publishing house and design studio, alongside Sarah Chaplin Espenon. In 2021, they opened Ensembleensemble.biz, an independent bookshop and gallery in Marseille.

Loose Joints collaborates with leading and emerging artists on contemporary approaches to photography in book form, circulating new visual perspectives through a list that seeks to elevate underrepresented voices in photographic discourse. All design, editing and production are done in-house. Loose Joints also works independently as a design studioloosejoints.studio across publishing and the arts, and ran a publishing and residency award from 2021–24 with Mahler & LeWitt Studios.

Previously, Chaplin co-ran publisher fourteen-nineteen2009–14 and the experimental bookfair Copeland Book Market2011–14, and was senior designer at MACK2015–18. His academic background is in Social Anthropology, and included collaborative visual ethnographic research with online fetish communities2041, Here Press, and with the remotest inhabited island in the world.
